Um okkur
Bryndis Halldorsdottir
I was born and raised in Reykjavik, Iceland. I have been teaching tango for over 20 years together with my partner Hany. We were the first professional tango instructors in Iceland and together we built the Icelandic tango scene. For the last 12 years I have lived in Denmark and worked exclusively with Argentine tango, at M2tango Studio Copenhagen, as well as traveling to other countries to teach and perform.
My dance background is classical ballet and modern dance. Dance has always been a big part of my life and I have been dancing since I can remember.
Hany Hadaya
I was born and raised in Vienna, Austria, but in my adult life I have lived in Nederlands, Iceland and Denmark.
I have been dancing and teaching with my partner and life partner Bryndis Halldorsdottir for over 20 years and have absolutely no intention of stopping.
Tango is an important part of my life and I never cease to develop my dancing and teaching abilities. Standing in front of a group gives me a lot of energy and my entertaining and educational skills can unfold to the fullest. I always try to mix a little laughter and funny stories into it all because it lightens the atmosphere, as tango can be a little frustrating sometimes..
Besides the tango, I have danced classical ballet in the Netherlands and in Iceland for 15 years and I have an education as a graphic designer and have been running my own designer studio since 2004.
Bryndis and Hany
We learned tango from some of the renowned argentine tango teachers such as Gustavo Naveirra and Giselle Anne, Chicho, Ruben and Sabrina Veliz, Sebastian Achaval and Roxanna Suarez and many more. This gave us a very strong base to build our “own” tango.
We love teaching tango and sharing our best practice with our students. We enjoy watching them improve and how the enjoyment of the dance increases. For us, it is important that both parts of the couple are active and enjoy their role.
Our goal as teachers is to increase the quality of our students’ dancing, by diving deeper into details, giving as clear instruction as possible and presenting teaching material in a structured manner. Personal feedback and a positive attitude are our motto, both in group and private lessons. In every lesson it is important for us to give every couple as much attention as they need to improve.
For us as professional dancers, training, further education and performances are an important motivational factor.
